Another Greece Police Officer Suspended

Greece, N.Y. -- Another Greece police officer has been suspended, bringing the number of suspensions in the department to four. Sergeant Robert Trowbridge, a 23-year veteran, was suspended with pay on Monday for disciplinary reasons. Greece spokeswoman Kathryn Firkins says the town is not releasing specifics about the reasons for his suspension. An investigation into wrongdoing in the department has already resulted in the suspension of Police Chief Merrit Rahn, Deputy Chief William Mackin, and Sgt. Brian Ball.In addition, two former Greece police officers, Nick Joseph and Gary Pignato, have been fired and sentenced to prison in recent criminal convictions.
